Porto is Portugal’s second biggest city and is the capital of the northern region. It is located close to the Douro (Golden River). Porto is home to cobbled streets, churches dating back to the past, and historic sites.

The fishing industry plays an important role in the local Porto economy. The most popular seafood caught off the coast includes sardines and hake. They are offered in the local markets of the city.
