Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator get official multiplayer support

Each Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator get official multiplayer support. The developer studio SCS Software has launched an open beta for an experimental Steam version (v1.41). Information on how to join, along with the Beta password, is available. It is recommended to begin by saving a new profile and existing profiles.

The multiplayer is known as “Convoy Mode,” where eight players can travel in the same place. AI weather, traffic, time, and even vehicles are synchronized, and all eight participants can be working on the same project or even within one company. The communication is done via text chat or radio.

In both games, there are multiplayer mods made by the community that provides more options, but SCS Software plans to gradually increase the number of multiplayer options available in both games.
