Euro Truck Simulator 2: The all-new DAF XG and XG are here!

A few weeks ago, we released some photos taken from Euro Truck Simulator 2 of the coming truck that is camouflaged. We hope you had as much fun imagining (really, it was evident) as we had to create the livery unique to the truck.

We are thrilled and proud to share this with you today, just a day following the official unveiling of the latest Generation DAF trucks.

DAF XG as well as XG plus

DAF’s new generation of trucks represents the beginning of a new era in trucking. The way DAF declares: “Start the future.” The new truck line emphasizes the effectiveness, comfort of the driver, and security. The brand new XG and the XG+ cabs are a further improvement over the previous DAF cab was launched in its initial model with the model 95 XF in 1987. DAF is redefining the game with the XG or XG +, which is the first to be on the market, with its new Extra-large cabs, which are made possible by the reformulation of the EU Weight and Dimension Law that allows the length of the cab of the truck to be extended by as much as 80 cm.
The more extended and rounded front overhangs increase the fuel efficiency and increasethe safety in frontal collisions. The extra cabin space provides a larger bunk and more space for the passenger.

What’s new In Euro Truck Simulator 2 is the addition of digital mirrors that replace the normal side, wide-angle, and front mirrors. They improve visibility from the lateral because the standard mirrors that usually cause blind spots around intersections have been replaced with displays placed neatly in the front of the pillar. The mirrors also come with an exposure adjustment to improve visibility in the dark. Another exciting new feature in Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the brand new DAF is the utterly digital dashboard, also known as the driver Information Panel (DIP) as DAF refers to it. The DIP has contemporary graphics and a unique style that will make your vehicle stand apart from other trucks and make your journey more enjoyable and informative.
New generation DAF will be available for the first time with Euro Truck Simulator 2 with the cab options XG and+. XF is expected later. At present, just the chassis model 4×2 will be available as the trucks initially offered to players.
Not to mention we’ve also included an exclusive starter paintjob for the new models which matches that bright yellow Tuscan starter color. It’s one is a must-have!
