Today we’d like to provide you with additional information concerning this Germany design project. As we mentioned in our latest blog article, “Good News and Mixed News,” The team behind the revamp of Germany in Euro Truck Simulator 2 has achieved significant progress. And this morning, we’d like to share some images from their efforts, which will be available within the next patch, 1.40.
We’re also delighted to share that these images were taken using the brand new lighting system, currently being implemented into our engine for games. But, bringing new and improved lighting to the virtual world isn’t an easy job. Most of our game’s resources and objects needed to be redesigned and optimized to match the latest design style, which is constantly developing. The effort and hard work the teams have invested in this upgrade show that we are excited to discuss it with our players shortly. What kind of change can you expect from this update? We’ll not share every little detail in this blog. However, we will inform you of the existence of a brand new airport in Stuttgart
The town of Dortmund has been relocated to the right-hand side of the autobahn. But this isn’t all! The most significant modification that’s coming in this upgrade is the total overhaul and revamp of all roads and highways in this area of our world of games, which had not been modified in prior updates. Additionally, the region surrounding those cities, Dortmund, Cologne, Dusseldorf, and Duisburg, did not just benefit from an extensive upgrade to the network of roads and several new routes and intersections! The southern portion of the Bundesautobahn 7.7 will be accessible as part of this update.
